About Pale September
Pale September is owned and operated by me, Lisa Scott and is based in Colchester, north Essex, England.
I have come to web design later in life. Previously I spent 17 years as an accountant where sadly, my only creative outlet was designing the labels for my lever arch files. However, I did gain extensive experience of paying meticulous attention to detail, budget management, financial computer systems, working within a project team and to tight deadlines.
I built my first website in 2004 as a means of publishing my family tree on the net using books borrowed from the local library and free software in a magazine. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the fusion of creative and technical processes which encompassed my love of both computers and design. Realizing this could be the beginning of an exciting new direction for me, I decided to take a more professional approach to web coding and took and passed with a distinction, a diploma in web design.
Interests and hobbies include keeping rare breed bantams, photography, gardening, live music, genealogy and walking through the beautiful Constable Countryside with my lurchers.
I have also started to learn to play the guitar after being inspired by such wonderful artists such as Emily Barker, Ben Harper, The Audreys, Heather Nova, Jack White and The Civil Wars and many others.
